Kashif Ali struck a superb century for Bedfordshire to earn them a three-wicket win over Devon in a National Counties Trophy Group Two encounter at Luton.
The Worcestershire batter came to the wicket with his side 0-2, chasing Devon’s total of 258-6 in 50 overs.
He completed a 107 balls hundred – his first for Bedfordshire in all formats – and put on 165 for the third wicket with Oli Soames (55).
Kashif was eventually dismissed for 116 from 117 balls and hit eight sixes and six fours.
He was sixth out with the total on 221 in the 42nd over, but Bedfordshire went on to reach their target with more than three overs to spare.
Kashif had earlier picked up one wicket for 39, with Ben Beaumont hitting 104 not out for Devon.
In the Birmingham and District Premier League, Worcestershire spinner Josh Baker had a three wicket haul for Kenilworth Wardens in their drawn encounter with Wolverhampton.
Baker had figures of 16-0-69-3 and Pat Brown 7-0-57-1 in a Wolverhampton total of 289-9 and then Kenilworth replied with 118-8 from 24.4 overs before the heavens opened.
Reehan Edavalath was unbeaten on 23 when the rain also ended Barnards Green reply on 69-0, chasing Barnt Green’s 307-4.
