Worcestershire all-rounder Kashif Ali continued his promising start to the season by helping Bedfordshire defeat Oxfordshire by seven wickets in a National Counties T20 encounter at Dunstable.
Kashif had scored 89 for Worcestershire Seconds in their opening Championship encounter with Lancashire at Kidderminster.
His leg spin brought him figures of 4-0-21-2 after coming into the attack second change as Oxfordshire were bowled out for 106.
Kashif THEN came in at number three and struck 29 with one six and two fours and shared in a second wicket of 53 with Bedfordshire captain George Thurstance to help ensure victory.
In Game Two, Kashif was Bedfordshire’s most economical bowler with 4-0-25-0 in a total of 207-1 as Oxfordshire went down by 96 runs under the Duckworth-Lewis Method.
In the Birmingham and District Premier League, Taylor Cornall made 19 with two sixes in an Ombersley total of 112 all out and then had bowling figures of 9-0-25-1 and held onto two catches as Knowle and Dorridge won by four wickets.
Ollie Walker finished on the winning side for Himley, scoring 12 and bowling four overs for 16 runs, against Tamworth who could not chase down a 156 target.
