Worcestershire Assistant Head Coach, Kadeer Ali, is part of the England Under-19s coaching team for the England Men’s Under-19 Quadrangular Youth ODI Series in India next month.
Kadeer will be batting coach for the tournament in which India Under-19s A, India Under-19s B and Bangladesh Under-19s will also participate.
It will take place in Vijayawada between November 4 and 29 and will be the final competitive preparation for the Young Lions before the 2024 ICC Men’s World Cup in Colombo, Sri Lanka during January-February.
Kadeer already has experience of coaching at this level last winter under Head Coach, Michael Yardy.
He was the Under-19s batting coach for the Young Lions tour of Australia when they played two Youth Tests, three Youth ODIs and one Youth T20I.
Kadeer said: “The Australian trip was brilliant. To be part of an England set-up, at any level, is an amazing experience and really looking to being involved again.
“The mindset of the players, the mindset of the coaches, is to be really positive in what they are looking to do.
“It is a brilliant experience for me to be in different environments, abroad in different conditions, to see how the coaches go about their business.
“You also have discussions with the opposition coaches as well and I think that helped me loads last winter, picking their brains.”
Kadeer is also part of a three-day Young Lions training camp at Loughborough from tomorrow (Friday).
