It's just four weeks from today to the opening LV= County Championship fixture against Yorkshire at New Road.
The 2014 Division One champions will visit skipper Daryl Mitchell's newly promoted side for a match getting underway on Sunday, April 12.
It might still feel like winter today with temperatures barely above freezing point but that eagerly awaited encounter is just 16 more days in March and 12 in April away from happening.
It is a mouth-watering opener to Worcestershire's 150th Anniversary Year. Yorkshire showed their strength in depth and defied the absence of several players to England duty to lift the title.
Worcestershire made a mockery of pre-season bookmakers odds of 33-1 to be promoted to go up into the top division with Hampshire.
Some players are again likely to be absent – including our own Moeen Ali – given that the fixture overlaps with England's tour of the West Indies during April.
But it will offer home fans the opportunity to see new signing, batsman Alex Gidman from Gloucestershire, make his competitive debut for Worcestershire.
Worcestershire CCC commercial director Jon Graham said: "From a playing perspective, we're in Division One, four days against Warwickshire, four days against New Zealand, Yorkshire, Somerset etc, there’s a lot to look forward to this summer.
"But off the pitch there will be a series of events to mark the 150th Anniversary Year and make it a year to remember."
