Worcestershire Academy player Josh Haynes ended his involvement in the 2016 Super Fours on a successful note with another fine performance with the ball.
Haynes skippered the Midlands in their third and fourth place play-off match against London and East at Loughborough.
He returned the excellent figures of 2-27 from his full compliment of 10 overs out of a total of 281-6 from 50 overs.
But there was no time for the Midlands to launch their reply before the heavens opened and the game had to be abandoned.
There was also a wicket for Worcestershire pathway player, paceman Adam Finch, who finished with 1-35 in six overs.
The Midlands failed to retain their title but Haynes can look back with satisfaction on his performances.
He returned 2-29 against the South and West, scored 54 versus the North and finished with 2-38 in the group match against London and East in addition to his contribution in the third-fourth play-off game.
The final between South and West and the North was also abandoned with the former 179 all out from 46.3 overs when play was halted.
