Joe Clarke will be striving to end his current spell of involvement with England Lions on a high in tomorrow's fifth and final ODI with Sri Lanka A in Colombo.
The Worcestershire batsman will barely have time to reflect on his winter with coach Andy Flower's squad.
For Clarke will immediately be flying off to the UAE to link up with the North for their three game Tri-Series with the South.
Then Clarke – and County team-mate Ben Cox – will become part of the MCC squad to face the Champion County Middlesex in a four-day game in Abu Dhabi plus a four team T20 tournament.
Clarke has now been a regular member of the Lions squad for the past 15 months since making his debut against Pakistan A in the UAE 15 months ago.
It has been a challenging winter for the 20-year-old who scored five County Championship centuries and 1,200 runs in his first full season at New Road.
He scored 2 not out, 4 and 42 in the three One-Day clashes against UAE and then 0 and 1 versus Afghanistan in a four-day encounter before Christmas.
Clarke has followed that with contributions of 7, 26, 13 and 1 in the One-Day series in Sri Lanka, batting at number six for the last three of those innings.
