Skipper Jack Haynes led by example with an unbeaten century as Worcestershire CCC Under-17s defeated their Somerset counterparts by nine wickets at RGS Worcester.
County Academy member Haynes hit 104 not out off just 93 balls with two sixes and 10 fours.
He shared in an unbroken stand of 121 with Chad Brandwick (30 not out off 46 balls) as Worcestershire triumphed with 4.3 overs to spare.
The match had been reduced because of the elements from 50 to 30 overs per side and Somerset opted to bat first and totalled 154-7.
Mahaaz Ahmed was the most successful home bowler, returning 3-22 from his full compliment of six overs.
His victims included Somerset opener T. Harlow who top-scored with 53. Matt Davis, Adam Finch and Zain Ul-Hassan all picked up one wicket apiece.
When Worcestershire launched their reply, Haynes and Jujha Johal (14) put on 36 in 5.3 overs.
Then, after they had been parted, Haynes and Brandwick saw Worcestershire across the finishing line.
