Colin Munro will have a quickfire reunion with Ben Hilfenhaus when Worcestershire Rapids do battle with Notts Outlaws in tomorrow's NatWest T20 Blast group clash at New Road (2.30pm).
Munro and Hilfenhaus were both part of the Mumbai Indians squad which won the Indian Premier League via their success over Chennai Super Kings in the final.
The duo were both drafted into the Indiands squad after they suffered injury setbacks. Munro replaced fellow New Zealander Corey Anderson (fractured finger) while Hilfenhaus came in for another Australian in Aaron Finch (torn hamstring).
Now the pair will be on opposite sides with 32-year-old Hilfenhaus, who has played 27 Tests for his country, set to make his debut for the Outlaws against the Rapids.
He said: "Experiencing county cricket is part of why I came. It's a new environment and I want to experience some of the challenges that come with that.
"The way the scheduling is ruled out me coming to England before. In the past I've been in a position where my body needed a break and I've respected that.
At the moment I'm going well and this is the right time for me."
Former West Indian skipper Darren Sammy is part of the Outlaws squad while Alex Hales had a brief spell on loan with Worcestershire last season.
He scored 15 and 63 in the LV = County Championship match with Glamorgan at the Swalec Stadium before being recalled by Nottinghamshire.
