HUNDREDS FOR NEW ROOKIE PRO HENRY CULLEN AND TOM FELL IN BIRMINGHAM LEAGUE

Worcestershire duo Henry Cullen and Tom Fell both hit centuries in the Birmingham and District Premier Cricket League this weekend.

Wicket-keeper batter Cullen recently signed a professional rookie contract at New Road and struck an unbeaten 140 for Kenilworth Wardens in a five-wicket win over Knowle and Dorridge.

He batted all the way through the innings, and his 126-ball knock contained one six and 21 fours.

Cullen added 78 for the fourth wicket with Academy player Reeve Evitts (27) as Kenilworth reached their 221 target with 9.1 overs to spare.

He had also earlier taken four catches behind the stumps.

Fell made 111 off 131 balls with 15 boundaries batting at number three for Wolverhampton in a 41-run win over Lichfield.

He came in at 45-1 and added 76 for the fifth wicket with Academy captain Joe Stanley (25) in a total of 265-9.

Adam Finch – 3-10 in nine overs – picked up the last three wickets as Lichfield were dismissed for 224 in 53 overs.

Worcestershire batter Taylor Cornall continued his good form with an unbeaten 75 in Ombersley’s seven-wicket win over Barnt Green.

Cornall, unbeaten on 31 in the LV=Insurance County Championship win over Middlesex earlier this week, hit 75 not out off 121 balls with seven fours.

It enabled Ombersley, who also included Brett D’Oliveira, Jack Haynes and Josh Dell in their side, to reach a 187 target in 46.1 overs.

Dillon Pennington had figures of 12-3-37-2 for Shrewsbury (274-9), who drew with Leamington (204-6).
