Hose to captain Seconds in ECB T20 meeting with local rivals

Adam Hose will captain Worcestershire Seconds when they return to ECB T20 action against local rivals Warwickshire at Portland Road, Edgbaston tomorrow (11.30am start).

Hose had a successful first season in the Vitality Blast at New Road, finishing second top scorer to Mitchell Santner on 397 runs.

All-rounder Josh Cobb is also part of the squad after signing a white ball contract with Worcestershire this season.

Blast overseas signing, Usama Mir, will also have another run-out for the Seconds.

Tom Taylor will continue his comeback from suffering shoulder and knee injuries in an early season Seconds Championship fixture

The squad also includes trialist and former Sussex slow left armer, Tom Hinley, who is currently studying at Lougborough University.

The Seconds went down by eight wickets to Somerset in their opening ECB T20 fixture at Ombersley on Monday.

Worcestershire were put in and Ethan Brookes top-scored with 42 off 22 balls with three sixes.

Taylor (23 off 12) and Henry Cullen (25 off 26) were the other main contributors as Worcestershire were dismissed for 142 in 18.2 overs.

Harry Darley and Cameron Jones picked up a wicket apiece as Somerset reached 146-2 in 14.2 overs.
