Worcestershire batter, Adam Hose, has been named in a 13-strong squad for Adelaide Strikers opening match of the 2022-2023 Big Bash League tomorrow (December 14).
Hose, who has signed a three-year deal at New Road, is in contention to make his BBL debut against Sydney Sixers at the Adelaide Oval.
Colin de Grandhomme, Chris Lynn and Ben Manenti could also make their first appearance for the Strikers.
Hose and the Strikers will face back-to-back matches against Sydney Thunder on December 16 and 20.
They will play 14 group matches in the space of 41 days in their bid to reach the knockout stages.
Meanwhile, Hose’s new Worcestershire team-mate, Dillon Pennington, is also heading to Adelaide for a second spell.
Pennington is flying out to play for Adelaide CC, who have a two-day game this weekend against East Torrens in the South Australia Cricket Association West End men’s first-grade competition.
The pace bowler, Worcestershire’s leading wicket-taker in red-ball cricket last summer, played for Adelaide during the winter of 2021-2022 and captained them for one game.
