Matt Henry will return to the Worcestershire Rapids side for this evening's NatWest T20 Blast televised clash with Yorkshire Vikings at New Road, 5.30pm start.
The New Zealand paceman was rested for the five wicket Specsavers County Championship defeat against Gloucestershire at New Road yesterday.
Henry is part of a 13 strong squad as the Rapids look to complete a hat-trick of wins in the T20 Blast.
Director of Cricket Steve Rhodes said: "Matt Henry is back in the side. We did miss him (against Gloucestershire). To go into that game without an overseas player was a tough call.
"Also he might have got a bit more out of the wicket with having a bit more pace than the other bowlers we've got. He might have made the ball go up and down a little bit quicker and that could have been the difference.
"But it was actually a game he was going to have off and Mitch Santner was going to play that game until he was injured.
"The good thing about all that is Matt Henry is rested up and he is raring to go and looking forward to Thursday and we look forward to welcoming him back to the side."
The Rapids defeated Durham Jets and Birmingham Bears in their opening two T20 Blast matches.
Rhodes said: "It is exciting cricket, a wonderful competition. I am a really big fan of the T20 Blast.
"We will be up for it. It is always a great occasion playing against Yorkshire and on TV it is going to be excellent."
