jack haynes hit a quickfire 31 as england under-19s warmed up for their tri-series against india and bangladesh with a run spree and a 115 run win against ireland academy at loughborough university.
the worcestershire batsman came to the wicket after openers dan mouslay and tom clark had plundered 195 off 29 overs before the latter was out for 94 from 99 balls with 13 fours.
haynes faced just 24 balls and added 58 in eight overs for the second wicket with mouslay.
he struck one six and three fours.
haynes, who has just completed his a levels at malvern college, was second out with the total on 253 in the 37th over.
mouslay went onto make a splendid 146 off 117 deliveries with three sixes and 17 boundaries.
number four batsman joey evison weighed in with 64 off 45 balls as england amassed 372-5 in their 50 overs.
ireland were dismissed for 257 in 49 overs with haynes taking the catch to dismiss the final batsman.
part of the tri-series is being staged at New Road with england facing india on sunday and bangladesh the following day and the two touring sides meeting on wednesday.
