Worcestershire CCC Academy were beaten by 108 runs against Midlands Under 15s at Shrewsbury School.
Due to rain, the match was reduced to 35 overs per side and after being put into bat the Midlands Under 15's scored 189-4.
Jack Haynes – the youngest son of former Worcestershire all-rounder Gavin Haynes – continued his good form with the bat this season as he top-scored with 74 off 96 balls.
Haynes and Rob Yates (54 not out off 38 balls) came together at 78-2 in the 20th over and put on 108 for the third wicket until Haynes was out in the final over of the innings.
The Academy wicket-takers were Billy Cox (1-13 off seven overs), Callum Lea (1-25 off four overs) and Zain Hassan (1-27 off three overs).
In reply the Academy were bowled out for 81 off 28 overs, with only three batsman getting into double figures.
Cox top-scored with 28, Connor Dudley made 14 Xavier Clarke 13.
For the Midlands Under 15s, Riecko Parker-Cole took 3-14 off four overs, Musharraf Shazhad returned 2-15 off six overs and Dan Mousley collected 2-20 off five overs.
