Alex Gidman was amongst the runs for Worcestershire Seconds but a second century of the game from Ben Slater earned Derbyshire Seconds a six wicket win in the Championship encounter at Flagge Meadow.
The visitors were challenged to score 251 in 50 overs on a rain-hit final day and Slater's 123 enabled them to reach their target with 6.4 overs to spare.
Worcestershire had resumed on 116-2 and had taken their total to 189-3 when the heavens opened.
Skipper Alexei Kervezee completed his second 50 of the game before he was dismissed for 52 off 49 balls with seven fours after adding 125 in 19 overs with Gidman.
Gidman followed up his first innings 50 by making 91 not out from 94 deliveries with one six and 15 fours.
The rain break denied him the chance of a century and Kervezee declared before the players returned.
Opener Slater figured in three half century partnerships and when he was finally dismissed, having hit three sixes and 12 fours, Derbyshire required only 17 more for victory.
Academy spinner Ben Twohig picked up two late wickets – including Slater.
