Worcestershire Cricket Society have already finalised their first guest speaker of their 2018-2019 cricket evenings and it is one to look forward to in former England all-rounder and National Selector Geoff Miller OBE.
Geoff had been originally scheduled to attend one of the 2017-2018 cricket evenings but was forced to cancel the engagement due to other commitments.
But we are happy to announce he will be available to entertain Society members on Tuesday, October 9 so put the date in your diary now.
Geoff has built a reputation as one of the best after dinner speakers on the circuit since hanging up his spikes.
He featured in 31 Tests and 25 ODIs between 1976 and 1984.
Geoff played for Derbyshire between 1973 and 1986 and, after a three season stint with Essex, returned for the final season of his career in 1990.
He returned 888 first class and 278 List A wickets and scored 12,027 first class and 4,234 List A runs.
Geoff became National Selector in 2008 before retiring from the selection panel in 2013.
