Worcestershire Academy product Josh Leach picked up four wickets in four balls when playing for the Midlands in a T20 match during the Super Fours at the National Performance Centre, Loughborough.
The spinner helped the Midlands to a five wicket win over the North in their semi-final encounter by taking the last four wickets with the total on 129.
Leach, part of the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 Academy intakes, dismissed J. Minto for 24 and then H. Hussain, W. Alexander and T. Bradley all for nought during his devastating burst.
He finished with overall figures of 3.5-0-30-5.
The Midlands reached their target in 18.4 overs with another Worcestershire player in Seth Essenhigh dismissed for nine and Leach not required to bat.
Leach was also amongst the wickets in the final against South-West but his efforts were in vain in a 95 run defeat.
He returned figures of 4-0-21-3 but no-one else could stem the runs as South-West amassed 224-4 in 20 overs.
Essenhigh made 17 off 14 balls as the Midlands were bowled out for 129 in 16.3 overs with Worcestershire pace bowler Jack Home delivering two overs for 16 runs for the South-West.
In the semi-final, Home had scored 18 off 12 balls and bowled four overs for 28 runs as Sout-West (182-6) defeated London-East (178-3) by four runs.
