Leg spinner Josh Dickenson picked up four wickets for Worcestershire Under-18s on the second day of their ECB County Competitions Group 2 encounter with Derbyshire Under-18s at Kidderminster.

Dickenson returned figures of 22-4-75-4 as Derbyshire totalled 301-7 declared from 77 overs in reply to Worcestershire’s 301-8 declared.

Cameron Jones gave him good support with 2-53 from 16 overs, and one of his victims was Derbyshire top scorer Muhammed Yusaf Bin Naeem for 94.

Worcestershire lost wickets at regular intervals in their second innings and closed on 126-5 from 39 overs.

Wicket-keeper Henry Cullen will resume on 35 not out from 53 balls with five boundaries.

Oliver Walker (27) and Rehaan Edavalath (21) were the other main contributors.

Worcestershire Sub Academy are taking on the Isle Of Wight in a two-day game at Coombswood CC, and a half-century from Sebastian Scott helped them total 217 in 60 overs after being put in to bat.

He came in at number three and struck eight fours in his 113 ball innings, and then 22 off eight balls from the last man Benjamin Whitton lifted the final total past 200.

Whitton then took the new ball and picked up two wickets as the Isle Of Wight closed on 147-5, thanks mainly to 79 from opener Sam Mills.
