Worcestershire are now the only team in the country with a 100 per cent record in the County Championship this season.
The County made it three wins out of three with yesterday's innings and 42 runs success over Derbyshire at the 3aaa County Ground.
It is the first time since 1988 that they have won the opening three games.
Current Director Of Cricket Steve Rhodes was part of that all-conquering side that went onto win the Championship title – and retain it the following season.
Nottinghamshire and Kent surrendered their 100 per cent start to 2017 in the Championship after being held to draws by Glamorgan and Leicestershire respectively.
Worcestershire have actually won their last FIVE Championship games if you include the end of last season.
They overcame Sussex at Hove and Derbyshire at New Road in September before toppling Glamorgan, Northamptonshire – their opponents at Wantage Road this Friday – and Derbyshire this summer.
With the Rapids also in the semi-finals of the Royal London One-Day Cup, plus the Seconds also enjoying considerable success, it is a start to the campaign to be proud of.
