worcestershire ccc supporters will soon have their first chance to see new signing riki wessels in home action.
the county are playing a 50 over match against gloucestershire at kidderminster’s chester road ground on april 1.
this will be followed by his first appearance at New Road in the royal london one-day cup north group match with durham on april 24.
wessels has signed a three year contract from 2019-2021 after leaving nottinghamshire at the end of last season.
admission is free at chester road and the fixture will form part of the rapids preparations for the one-day cup which has been brought forward this season.
it will also form one of seven days cricket to help worcestershire re-acclimatise to english conditions ahead of the new season after returning from the two week camp in abu dhabi.
they will take on warwickshire at edgbaston in a three-day game (march 26-28) and then visit fenners for another three-day match versus cambridge university (april 5-7).
