Worcestershire Supporters’ Association’s long-standing Fifty-Fifty competition has already attracted more than 200 members for the 2024 season.
Association committee member and Fifty-Fifty organiser, Dave Kennedy, reports that the competition is on course to emulate the 2023 figure of 400 plus members.
All profits will continue to go to the Ground Improvement Fund.
Dave Kennedy said: “It’s encouraging that we’ve gone past the 200 members mark with still the best part of two months to go until the new season gets underway.
“The initial aim is always to achieve the previous year’s total and the signs are very encouraging.”
It will again cost £20 to enter with the opportunity to participate in four monthly draws from June to September.
Prizes ranged last summer from £25 to a top one of £500 per draw although the exact figures depend on how many people enter.
The Association have provided funds for a lengthy list of projects including the purchasing of New Road, the Ladies Pavilion, the Chestnut Marquee, two scoreboards and the Mills and Brookes Stands.
More recently they provided funds for new ground covering sheets, and the re-covering of the mobile covers which protect the wicket at New Road plus the makeover of the turnstile area.
