Fell To Skipper Seconds In Double T20 Clash With Durham

Fell To Skipper Seconds In Double T20 Clash With Durham

Tom Fell will skipper Worcestershire Seconds in tomorrow's double T20 clash with Durham Seconds at Stourbridge Cricket Club (11.30am and 3pm).

Fell takes over the role from George Rhodes who was part of the first team squad for today's Royal London One-Day Cup match with Derbyshire at New Road.

He also played again yesterday for Wolverhampton as he continues his comeback after being given the all clear from cancer in the lymph nodes.

Warwickshire batsman Freddie Coleman is also part of the Seconds side.

Twenty-four-year-old Coleman has played 15 One-Day Internationals and one T20 International for Scotland.

His last senior appearance for Warwickshire was in the County Championship clash with Somerset at Taunton last September.

Coleman achieved his career best score against Worcestershire – 110 for Oxford MCCU on his first class debut in 2012.

Worcestershire are also giving a trial to Brannon Varley, a 27-year-old who has played for the Army X1 and United Kingdom Armed Forces X1 this summer.

The Seconds have won their opening two Second Eleven Championship matches of the campaign but will be seeking their first win in the T20 format of 2016.
