Fell Completes Ton As Seconds Secure Maximum Batting Points

Worcestershire Seconds collected maximum points and established a first innings lead of nearly 200 after Tom Fell completed his century on the second day of the Championship match with Nottinghamshire Seconds at Notts Sports Club.

Fell, unbeaten on 93 overnight, went onto make 128 and his good work was continued by Alex Milton, Zen Malik and Ben Twohig who all hit half centuries.

Their efforts lifted Worcestershire to 395 all out and a 197 run advantage.

Nottinghamshire reached 68-1 by the close in their second innings with Adam Finch having Anuj Dal (21) caught at square leg by George Scrimshaw shortly before the close.

The visitors resumed on 134-3 and Fell and Milton added 52 before the former finally fell at deep square leg after striking one six and 19 fours in his 163 ball knock.

Milton and Malik then put on 99 in 24 overs for the fifth wicket.

Malik was eventually dismissed for 57 off 84 balls with one six and four fours and Milton followed up his 91 against Yorkshire last week by making 63 off 115 deliveries with three boundaries.

The innings was then given a late boost by Twohig and skipper Charlie Morris during a ninth wicket stand of 49 in nine overs.

Morris made 25 off 28 balls to leave Twohig unbeaten on exactly 50 from 96 balls with one six and six fours.
