EXTREME AUSTRALIAN HEAT MEANS NO ACTION FOR TWOHIG AND COX

The extreme heat in parts of Australia meant there was no action for Worcestershire CCC duo Ben Twohig and Ben Cox today.

The pair’s club, Southern Districts, were due to face Adelaide University in a South Australia Premier Cricket T20 Cup match.

But temperatures rose as high as 46 degrees Centigrade – 114 degrees Fahrenheit.

As a result the game was unsurprisingly called off.

South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales have been severely affected and bush fires are now within the vicinity of Adelaide.

But the forecast is for some relatively cooler weather tomorrow and Twohig and Cox are hoping to be out in the middle for the final time before Christmas.

Southern Districts are scheduled to take on Prospect CC in another T20 fixture.
