Worcestershire Emerging Academy X1 gained a four wicket success over their Warwickshire counterparts with eight balls to spare in a 50 over clash at the Edgbaston Foundation Sports Ground.
The visitors fielded several players who have been short-listed for consideration for the 2015-2016 Academy intake at New Road.
Warwickshire opted to bat and made 228-9 with Xavier Clarke (4-43) and Matt Davis (3-43) the most successful bowlers.
Ben Griffin (20) and Rob Yates, with 43 off 41 balls, added 68 for the second wicket in 11 overs and Fin McGreath (46) and Hussain Khalil (34) put on 77 for the fifth wicket in 21 overs.
Daniel Humes was the mainstay of the Worcestershire reply with 77 off 82 balls with two sixes and 11 fours.
He shared in a fourth wicket stand of 61 with Silas Grace (16).
The game was in the balance at 177-6 but an unbroken stand of 52 in seven overs between Zak Smith (45 not out from 41 balls with eight fours) and Musharraf Shazad (14 not out) saw Worcestershire to victory.
