DICKENSON TO LEAD UNDER-18S IN FINALE TO ECB 50 OVER COMPETITION

Worcestershire CCC Under-18s will wind up their ECB Royal London Under-18 County Cup programme when they take on Staffordshire Under-18s at Moddershall CC, Stone, on Sunday (August 15).

Spinner Josh Dickenson will lead the side in place of Joe Stanley, who will be playing for Herefordshire in the National Counties Championship against Cricket Wales at Eastnor in a three-day fixture.

Paceman Ben Parker, part of Worcestershire Rapids Royal London Cup squad, and all-rounder Harry Cooke will also be featuring in the same competition for Shropshire against Cornwall at Bridgnorth.

Henry Cullen, also part of the Rapids squad as back-up to Gareth Roderick, will keep wicket as the Under-18s look to chalk up their second victory in the 50 over tournament.

They will switch back into T20 mode for two matches against Somerset Under-18s at King’s College, Taunton, on Thursday (August 19).

Worcestershire paceman Mitchell Stanley will continue his comeback from a back injury in that match.

On the same day, a Worcestershire Sub Academy X1 will face Salop (Under 16 to Under-18s) in a 50 over game at Stourbridge.

Ben Sutton will captain Worcestershire with Luke Powell behind the stumps.
