Daryl Mitchell will be the guest speaker of the Worcestershire Cricket Society at their January meeting.
The long-serving Worcestershire opener will entertain Society members in the Hick Pavilion on Tuesday, January 8 at 7.30pm.
Mitchell will fill the post Christmas slot in the Society schedule that has traditionally been occupied by a County player or official.
Steve Magoffin – now in charge of the Worcestershire Women’s Rapids pathway programme – was a big success when he spoke about his lengthy career during the January 2018 meeting.
Mitchell will be recalling his experiences spanning more than a decade of first team action – plus his key role as chairman of the Professional Cricketers’ Association – when interviewed by Society vice-chairman John Curtis.
Before that, ex England and Nottinghamshire batsman Derek Randall will be the guest speaker on Tuesday, December 11.
BBC Hereford-Worcester presenter and cricket commentator Dave Bradley will be the compere on that evening.
Non Society members can attend for an admission price of £5.
