Henry Cullen continued his good form with the bat for Worcestershire Seconds in the ECB T20 Cup Central Group encounter with Somerset Seconds at Taunton Vale.
Cullen had struck 36 not out in last week’s win over Somerset at Barnt Green and was top scorer with an unbeaten 68 in the return.
He struck one six and seven fours in his 49-ball knock after batting at number four in a total of 151-8 after captain Josh Baker opted to bat.
Rehaan Edavalath (21) and triallist Joe Cooke, the former Glamorgan player, added 43 for the second wicket.
Edavalath was third out with the total on 81 in the ninth over, and then Cullen dominated the remainder of the innings with no one else reaching double figures.
When Somerset replied, pace bowler Harry Darley made the initial breakthrough and his Academy captain, Joe Stanley, was successful in successive overs in removing Lewis Goldsworthy and Lewis Bartlett.
Mitchell Stanley enjoyed one late success, but Somerset reached their target in 18.4 overs to win by six wickets.
Joe Stanley finished with figures of 4-0-33-2, Darley 2-0-13-1 and Mitchell Stanley 3.4-0-28-1.
