COX AND TWOHIG SET FOR FIRST APPEARANCES OF WINTER

COX AND TWOHIG SET FOR FIRST APPEARANCES OF WINTER

Ben Cox and Ben Twohig are both set to make their first appearance of the winter for Southern Districts this weekend.

The Worcestershire duo have been included in the side which will travel to take on Adelaide in a two-day fixture.

It is the start of Twohig’s second spell with Southern Districts after a stint with the club earlier this year.

Cox and Twohig flew out to Australia at the tail-end of November.

But there was no grade cricket in Adelaide last weekend due to the staging in the city of Australia’s Test encounter with Pakistan which the pair both attended.

Cox and Twohig have linked up with a side currently lying in seventh spot in the 13-team South Australia Cricket Association Premier Cricket first grade competition.

They have 65 points from five games and are 15 behind third placed Adelaide who have played a game more.

Josh Dell’s side, Mosman CC, will be defending a total of 256 on day two of the New South Wales Premier Cricket first grade match with Norther District who will resume on 61-2.
