Worcestershire CCC have revised their pre-season match programme because of the adverse weather conditions in the South West.
The County had been due to play Somerset in a two-day game at the main County Ground in Taunton this Thursday-Friday with a 60-30 overs split each day for the two sides.
Thursday has now been cancelled and instead a one-day game of red ball cricket will be held at the same venue on Friday (March 23).
Worcestershire’s three days cricket against Gloucestershire at Bristol next week has also been amended.
The two counties were originally scheduled to meet on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (March 26-28).
But the action will now get underway 24 hours later on Tuesday March 27 and the teams will contest a 50 over game on that date.
A two day match of red ball cricket will now take place on the Wednesday and Thursday (March 28 and 29).
Worcestershire will complete their pre-season match programme in a first class fixture versus Leeds-Bradford MCCU at RGS Worcester from April 1 to 3.
The players and coaching staff yesterday returned from an 11 day training camp in Abu Dhabi and will resume pre-season training tomorrow.
