the first match of the new season at New Road is still five weeks away – but worcestershire are already distributing 2018 membership cards to ensure they arrive safely long before the new campaign gets underway.
the county are being assisted by the worcestershire supporters’ association in sending out the memberships to existing and new members, with all members expected to receive their cards in the post within the next week or so – and certainly by the easter weekend – as excitement starts to mount ahead of life back in division one of the specsavers county championship.
managing director jon graham said: “all the membership cards arrived at New Road yesterday and we are working tirelessly to get those out as quickly as we can.
“the supporters’ association have kindly offered their help and their support – which we thank them for – to get everything on the move in terms of the membership cards being distributed as quickly as they can.
“we’d like to think everyone will be in receipt of their memberships within the next week or so – certainly by the end of next week and before the easter break.
“they will be distributed a long, long time before the first match at New Road (against nottinghamshire starting on friday 27th april).”
graham added: “the reality is because of the way most of our membership cards are presented – all non-transferable with people’s photos on – and with such a positive response in terms of membership for 2018, the most efficient process is to carry out as much personalisation at source as possible rather than in multiple runs which can also be considerably more costly.”
*members will be able to attend this evening’s agm in the graeme hick pavilion by presenting their 2017 membership cards (7pm start).
