Worcestershire Under-17s will be looking for a strong response with the bat on day two of the ECB County Championship match with Gloucestershire Under-17s at Stourport.
The visitors were put into bat and closed the opening day on 365-4 from 104 overs with Max Tryfonos top-scoring with 142.
But there were useful contributions all down the order while Zain Ul-Hassan picked up two wickets for Worcestershire and returned figures of 2-43 from 18 overs.
It was Ul-Hassan who dismissed openers Ollie Price (42) and Joe Dryell (46) within 11 runs of each other after they had put on 84 before being parted.
But Tryfonos dominated the remainder of the day, adding 101 with Will Nash (38) and 158 in partnership with Matt Brewer (62 not out).
Tryfonos fell to Dan Holland shortly before the close after hitting 20 fours in his 204 ball knock.
Aaron Tomson was the other wicket-taker when holding onto a return catch from Nash.
