Saeed Ajmal remains top of the latest Reliance ICC Player Rankings for One-Day Internationals even though he has played no international cricket for more than six months.
The Pakistan spinner, who has re-signed for Worcestershire for the 2015 season, has a rating of 733 points – 14 more than West Indian spinner Sunil Narine.
His last ODI appearance was against Sri Lanka at the end of last August and his only appearances for his country since then were in two unofficial games for Pakistan 'A' against Kenya in December.
Ajmal is set to play for the county for at least the second half of the forthcoming campaign – his third spell at New Road.
He was recently cleared to play international cricket again after his remodelled action was approved at an ICC biomechanics centre in Chennai.
The 37-year-old has bowled the equivalent of more than 2,000 overs whilst remodelling his action.
Meanwhile, England and Worcestershire all-rounder Moeen Ali has moved up both the ICC ODI batting and bowling rankings which were updated on March 1.
Moeen is now ranked 49th in the bowling charts – a rise of seven places from 56th after his jump from 97th the previous month.
He had dropped from 69th to 82nd in the batting rankings but his century against Scotland in the World Cup has helped him climb four places to 73rd.
