ferguson struck 19 boundaries in his 246 ball knock and the next highest score in the innings was 31.
he had previously hit list a centuries after returning to south australia from New Road against victoria – 133 in melbourne – and queensland – 101 in sydney.
ferguson and his team-mates will now take a break from sheffield shield action until the new year with south australia currently occupying bottom spot.
