Charlie Morris has helped Tuggeranong Valley to make a double winning start to their McDonald’s ACT Premier Cricket first grade campaign in Australia.
The Worcestershire paceman has returned to Tuggeranong for a second winter.
Morris quickly headed Down Under after the end of the domestic season and was part of the team which defeated ANU and then North Canberra Gungahlin.
In Round One, home side ANU elected to bat and totalled 180-9 in their 50 overs.
Morris came into the attack as first change and picked up one wicket and finished with figures of 10-0-51-1.
Tuggeranong went onto triumph by five wickets and reached their target with 7.4 overs to spare.
In Round Two, County skipper Joe Leach’s former side, North Canberra Gungahlin were bowled out for 107 in 34.1 overs after choosing to bat.
Morris sent down six tight overs for just 15 runs, including one maiden.
Shane Devoy did the damage to the Northies with figures of 6-2-8-5 and then struck an unbeaten 58.
Tuggeranong won by seven wickets in just 27 overs.
Morris and Tuggeranong will next be in action on Saturday against Eastlake who have lost their opening two matches.
