COUNTY PACEMAN FINCH AGAIN AMONGST WICKETS ON LOAN TO SURREY

Worcestershire CCC paceman Adam Finch was again amongst the wickets during his loan spell with Surrey in the Bob Willis Trophy encounter with Kent at the Kia Oval.

The 20-year-old ended with the excellent figures of 23.1-4-69-4 as Kent were dismissed for 342 in their first innings. It followed on from Finchโ€™s figures of 12-1-38-4 in the second innings of his debut for Surrey against Essex at Chelmsford two weeks ago.

Finch did not play against Hampshire at Arundel because of a slight quad strain but returned to play a big part against Kent. He dismissed Kent opener Daniel Bell-Drummond lbw for 45 and Harry Podmore โ€“ caught at point for 47 โ€“ on the opening day of the game. He then polished off the innings by having Nathan Gilchrist (25) caught behind and Matt Milnes (43) who holed out after aiming a pull at Finch.

Surrey reached 239-7 in reply with Finch showing defiance with the bat in making an unbeaten nine by the close.
