Worcestershire CCC will be fielding a near full-strength side in the Second Eleven Championship derby match with Warwickshire at New Road, starting on Monday.
Worcestershire will be using the four-day match as part of their preparations for the return of LV=Insurance County Championship action later in the month.
They will take on Sussex at New Road in a County Championship match beginning on Bank Holiday Monday, August 28 and have three further fixtures in September.
The bulk of the squad have just been put through their paces in an intensive week of red ball training, including Jake Libby, who has just signed a new contract until the end of the 2024 season.
Paceman Dillon Pennington and keeper Ben Cox will be part of the Seconds side to face the Bears after returning from their respective sides – Birmingham Phoenix and Trent Rockets – in the Hundred.
Opener Daryl Mitchell is set to play for the first time since July 18, after not featuring in the Royal London Cup because of his commitments with the PCA.
Young spinner Josh Baker registered a hat-trick in the Seconds last Championship match against Nottinghamshire at the beginning of July, before making his breakthrough into the senior side.
Admission is free for Worcestershire CCC members and Under-17s, with a general admission charge of £5. Click here to purchase tickets
