kevin sharp says worcestershire ccc members and supporters can look forward to being richly entertained by the stroke play of travis head this summer.
those followers of the county who made the trip to the ageas bowl had an early glimpse of head’s quality.
the australian left-hander reeled off a series of impressive shots when making 45 not out in the second innings against hampshire.
head coach sharp says the 24-year-old has also quickly fitted into the New Road dressing room with his new team-mates.
sharp said: “travis is going to entertain us this summer. he is a stroke player and he played some beautiful shots at the ageas bowl.
“obviously he is a class player and we saw that on the final morning of the hampshire game.
“he is a super guy, he contributes on and off the field, he loves the game, is very skillful and i think he will be a fantastic asset for us.
“he is the same age as a lot of the lads, he has got a sense of humour and he has fitted in beautifully.”
