Worcestershire CCC have confirmed they will stage their 2015 annual general meeting in the Graeme Hick Pavilion on Monday, March 30 (starting at 7pm).
The AGM has in the past tended to be held a month or so earlier in the middle of February.
But the decision to change the end of the financial year from September 30 to December 31 has led to the revised date to allow additional time for the club’s accounts to be prepared.
The meeting will see former club chairman John Elliott stand down as club president after two years and Lord Mervyn King, as president elect, will take over the role.
The AGM will also see the ratification of Stephen Taylor as Worcestershire’s new chairman in place of Martyn ‘Percy’ Price who has stood down after the maximum eight year term in the role.
Chief executive David Leatherdale said: “The meeting is a month later than what we normally do because of the change of financial year end (to December 31) and members voting on that change of year end.
“We need another month to prepare the accounts so it has pushed it back.
“But hopefully with it being closer to the start of the cricket season, people will be more available to attend as opposed to the cold, winter nights of February.
“Hopefully we will get a good turn-out like we normally do.
“The president and president elect will be at the meeting so John Elliott as president will step down at the meeting and Mervyn King as the president elect will take over.
“As well, there will be the ratification of the chairman (Stephen Taylor) and other board members.”
