worcestershire ccc ceo matt rawnsley will stage his second members forum in the graeme hick pavilion on friday ahead of the start of play on day one of the specsavers county championship clash with champions essex at New Road.
rawnsley held a successful first forum on the first morning of the home encounter with nottinghamshire although the inclement weather had an effect on the number of people who attended.
he fielded and answered questions on a wide range of topics with an openess and honesty which earned him much praise from those who were present.
now rawnsley is to repeat the exercise this friday – and on the first day of every home championship match where other ceo commitments permit – with the start time again being 9.30am and the forum lasting for approximately one hour.
he said: “considering how bad and how cold the weather was, we had a decent turn-out for the first members forum and hopefully there will be even more able to attend this time.
“it was certainly a beneficial exercise to hear members thoughts on a wide variety of topics and naturally the newly proposed ‘100 ball’ competition got plenty of an airing.
“i will be happy to field more questions on this and any other issues that members want to bring up this friday.
“as always, i will try to give them as honest and straight an answer as possible.”
