the new zealand batsman, who is available for the first eight blast fixtures this summer, is currently lying fifth in the t20i rankings with 747 points.
worcestershire 2014 and 2015 blast player, colin munro, an international team-mate of guptill’s, is the current number one ranked player with 801 points.
guptill, who will be at New Road from june 20 to july 29, is also placed 13th in the odi ladder with 731 points.
it is another indication of the quality of player that worcestershire fans can look forward to watching this summer.
australian batsman travis head, who is due to link up with worcestershire for the start of the season later this week, is lying 23rd in the odi rankings with 631 points.
