George Rhodes has been in excellent T20 form for Onslow CC and played a key role in their double winning start in the Rothbury Men’s Premier competition in Wellington, New Zealand.
The Worcestershire CCC all-rounder was their main contributor with the bat in the 79 run success over Hutt District at Nairnville Park.
Rhodes top-scored with 68 off 48 balls out of Onslow’s 149 all out.
The 25-year-old then bowled the opening over of Hutt District’s reply, picking up one wicket for three runs.
Hutt District were bowled out for 70 in 17 overs.
Rhodes continued in the same vein in the emphatic 10 wicket success over Wellington Collegians.
He returned the excellent figures of 4-0-11-2 as Wellington were restricted to 121-7 in their 20 overs after electing to bat.
Rhodes then shared in an opening unbroken stand of 123 with Andrew Fletcher as Onslow raced to victory.
They reached 123-0 in just 9.2 overs with Rhodes unbeaten on 47 off 29 balls with two sixes and six fours.
Fletcher ended on 68 not out from 27 deliveries.
