Worcestershire County Cricket Club is proud to announce a special tribute to long-serving player Joe Leach, amongst a series of events scheduled to take place during the Vitality County Championship fixture against Lancashire. The match begins on Thursday, 26 September, at Visit Worcestershire New Road.
A presentation will be made to Joe Leach at the start of the lunch interval on the first day, in front of the Graeme Hick Pavilion. Leach, who has been a cornerstone of the Worcestershire team for over decade, will be honoured for his outstanding contribution to the Club.
CEO Ashley Giles commented, “This is a fitting way to celebrate the legacy of Joe Leach, who has been instrumental in shaping the history and success of Worcestershire cricket.
At 9.30am until play commences on day two, CEO Ashley Giles, along with the Head of Commercial & Partnerships, Joe Tromans, will host a Members’ forum in the Chestnut Marquee. The duo will offer a comprehensive update and also allow an opportunity for members to engage and discuss future plans. Club Chair Dominic Riley will also be on hand to answer any Member questions. Complimentary tea and coffee will also be available for members.
