Trent Bridge last day heroes Joe Clarke and Ben Twohig were again amongst the runs when they switched to Birmingham Premier League action with Oswestry and Kidderminster respectively.
Clarke had scored a magnificent 177 not out for Worcestershire in the drawn Specsavers County Championship game with Nottinghamshire and this time he raced to 122 for Oswestry when they entertained Leamington in BPL Division One.
The England Lions batsman faced only 68 balls and smashed five sixes and 18 fours – 102 in boundaries – as Leamington amassed 356-8 in their 55 overs.
Clarke shared a third wicket stand with his brother and Oswestry captain Robert Clarke who made 52.
But Oswestry were unable to force an outright win as Leamington closed on 250-9.
Twohig had batted for 100 balls in a crucial seventh wicket partnership with Clarke at Trent Bridge in making 35 – his highest first-class score.
Batting at number three for Kidderminster, he top-scored with 93 off 129 balls with two sixes and 11 fours in another Division One game.
Kidderminster were bowled out for 232 in 54 overs and Twohig then sent down 17 overs and returned 1-44 as Bromsgrove closed on 190-8.
Worcestershire Seconds captain Ollie Westbury continued his good form, also in the same division, with another century – for Himley in their winning draw against Halesowen.
Westbury had made 105 not out in the Seconds Championship encounter with Northamptonshire at Kidderminster – his third ton in the competition this summer.
He was just one shy of that tally in hitting 104 off 165 balls with 10 fours as Himley totalled 299-6 after being put in.
Halesowen fell just 11 runs short in reply on 288-5.
Westbury’s opening partner in the Seconds – George Rhodes – made good contributions with ball and bat for Barnards Green as they hung on for a draw against visiting Shifnal – also in Division One.
Rhodes finished with 3-64 from 17 overs as Shifnall totalled 311-6 and then top-scored with 64 from 100 balls with five fours as Barnards Green closed on 223-8.
In the Premier Division, Tom Fell top-scored with 37 off 55 balls with five fours for Wolverhampton out of 171 all out.
But his side went down by two wickets to Berkswell despite Second Eleven player Zen Malik finishing with 4-61.
Academy player Zain Ul-Hassan was unbeaten on 25 for Barnt Green who made 263-7 when they entertained Walsall.
In reply, Walsall closed on 246-9 with Worcestershire second team physio Trevor Keen scoring 63 and Worcestershire coach and Barnt Green captain Andy Sutton returning 3-60.
*In the South Wales Premier Cricket League, Worcestershire keeper-batsman Alex Milton opened and scored 22 for Port Talbot out of 182-9 and then picked up one catch and one stumping but his side lost by five wickets to Ammanford.
