Worcestershire duo, wicket-keeper Joe Clarke and all-rounder Ed Barnard, have been included in the England Under-19 squad for the five match Royal London One-Day International Series against South Africa Under-19s.
Clarke and Barnard are currently in action for the Under-19s in the Test series between the two countries.
Yorkshire’s Will Rhodes will once again lead the side, with the series getting underway on August 15 at Edgbaston, following the conclusion of the current two-match Test series.
The second Test match started today at Northampton after the opening game of the series at Fenners ended in a draw.
Clarke will resume on the second day on nought not out after coming to the wicket shortly before the close as England ended on 252-3 from 96 overs.
England development programme chairman of selectors, David Graveney, said: "South Africa are the current Under-19 world champions in 50 over cricket, so this five match Royal London ODI series against them presents the perfect opportunity for the selected England players to really test their skills in a challenging environment.
"As evidenced by the drawn first Test match between the two teams at Fenner’s last week, the sides are very evenly matched, so I expect a high-quality, closely contested series.”
