SARA COX PRESENTS JUST CAN’T GET ENOUGH 80s: EVENT GUIDE

We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to New Road on Friday, 18 August, for Sara Cox’s Just Can’t Get Enough 80s Concert.

We have included a lot of information in this event guide to help make everyone’s time as enjoyable as possible.

Why not bring more people along with you? Tickets for the event are available online via wccctickets.co.uk or on the gate on the day of the event from the main reception and are priced at £29.00. Please note that under 16s must be accompanied by an adult, and require their own ticket.

Running Order

  • Gates and Food Village open: 18:00
  • First Warm Up Act: Kay Russant 
  • Second Warm Up Act: DJ Lycra 
  • Sara Cox on stage until 23:00
  • Stadium Closes: 23:30 

Entry to the Ground

General Admission ticket holders can enter New Road through the main reception on the hotel side of the ground or on the opposite side of the ground next to the Club Shop & Cafe.

View Two & Three Hospitality ticket holders can enter through the main reception on the hotel side of the ground.

Those with tickets for Graeme Hick Pavilion and General Access can enter through the black gates next to the Club Shop & Cafe.

All gates open at 6.00 pm. Upon arrival, all attending will have their bags checked by our trained security team to ensure the safety of everyone at the event.


What can I bring in?

NO food, drinks, alcohol, or chairs or dogs (with the exception to Assistance Dogs) 

YES Small bags, water or a water bottle that can be refilled, small amounts of food if needed medically or for food allergy reasons, picnic blankets and umbrellas. Food Village information is listed below.

Travel Information

BY CAR

From north: From the M5 junction 7 follow the cricket stumps on the road signs to the ground. From south: From the M5 junction 7 follow the cricket stumps on the road signs to the ground. From east: From the A422, Alcester, continue on this road to roundabout junction with A4440 (Swinesherd Way), take second exit at roundabout on to A44, continue to follow the A44 and it will lead you to New Road, the county ground will be on your left. From west: From the A44, Evesham, stay on A44 (east) and it will lead you to New Road, the county ground will be on your left.

Car Parking

Limited car parking is available at the Premier Inn side of New Road, including a number of Blue Badge spaces. Parking will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis and cost £10 per car.

BY BUS

Once you are in Worcester city centre’s bus station that is beneath the Crown Gate Shopping Centre, walk out of the station, turn left, continue to walk straight ahead to a pedestrian crossing, walk across this and another pedestrian crossing, continue across the bridge over the Severn River and you will arrive at the county ground on your left.

BY TRAIN 

Worcester Foregate Street is the closest train station to the county ground and is approximately 0.5 miles from the ground. To get to the county ground from Foregate Street station turn left out of the main entrance, head towards the cross where you turn right onto Broad Street. Continue straight, across two pedestrian crossings to get to the other side of New Road, walk over the bridge and you will shortly arrive at the cricket ground on your left.

Public Wi-Fi

A newly upgraded public Wi-Fi is available throughout New Road, which you are very welcome to use at your leisure. Simply connect to The Cloud from the available list of wireless networks and follow the sign-in or login instructions.

Toilet Facilities

Ample toilet facilities are located and well-signposted, in various locations around the ground.

Smoking Policy 

New Road is a non-smoking ground. Smoking is prohibited in all areas, with the exception of the hard-standing to the side of the big screen.

Cashless Venue

New Road is a cashless venue. All major credit and debit cards, Apple and Google Pay are accepted at all outlets around the ground.
