A charity cricket dinner will be held at Worcestershire County Cricket Club on Friday 8th October to help raise the balance of the money required to build a new pavilion at St.Augustine Cricket Club. The club in Cape Town where Basil D’Oliveira learned to play his cricket.
The pavilion will be named after the Worcestershire legend and home to The Saints; the new pavilion will become the focal point of the local community and create FIVE permanent new jobs.
The evening will feature:
• Two guest speakers – Worcestershire legend Phil Neale and former Warwickshire player Paul Smith (the first overseas player to play for St. Augustine CC)
• A superb three-course dinner
• Live music
