worcestershire ccc’s annual chairman’s lunch will go ahead tomorrow despite the current flooding at New Road.
stephen taylor will be presiding over his fourth lunch as chairman with the function having been moved from the mcminn development chestnut marquee to the graeme hick pavilion.
the county have pulled out all the stops to ensure this popular event is staged but the floods have meant some revamping of the itinerary.
guests will be greeted in the severn suite at 12.30pm by the entire worcestershire playing squad before making their way along new road at 1.15pm for the chairman’s lunch which gets underway in the graeme hick pavilion at 1.30pm.
if anyone wants to go directly to the graeme hick pavilion, there will be staff available from 1.15pm to direct them to their tables.
during the event, guests should take advantage of table service to order drinks rather than the graeme hick pavilion bar.
guests attending the chairman’s lunch are asked to park in the overflow car park in the vicinity of the players’
net area.
but if this becomes full, guests can park in worcestershire ccc’s car park in front of the premier inn free of charge
