worcestershire supporters’ association will hold their annual general meeting on tuesday, may 14 – the opening day of the specsavers county championship match with durham.
it will take place in the chestnut marquee at New Road approximately 10 minutes after the close of play.
association chairman, andrew jenkins, is up for re-election after almost three years in the role.
jenkins has held the position since the death of the long-serving ken mills mbe in 2016 and also initially acted as association treasurer.
secretary ann fraser and treasurer john wright, plus committee members dave kennedy, ken crump and former worcestershire ccc ceo, tom scott, are also up for re-election.
the audited accounts of the association will be available for their members to inspect in the club shop during saturday’s royal london one-day cup match with yorkshire vikings at New Road.
meanwhile, the membership of the association’s fifty fifty competition, where all profits go towards the ground improvement fund, has already exceeded the 500 mark for 2019.
it costs £20 to enter – the same fee as in 2018 – and prizes will range from £50 to £500.

anyone wanting to enter the competition should make cheques payable to the worcestershire county cricket supporters’ association (wccsa).
*former worcestershire paceman, fred rumsey, will be signing copies of his recently published autobiography ‘sense of humour, sense of justice’ in the supporters association shop tomorrow.
the signing session will take place between 1pm and 2pm.
rumsey played for the county between 1960 and 1962 and then went onto form the professional cricketers’ association in 1967 while a somerset player.
