worcestershire ceo matt rawnsley will stage the first of his members forums this summer on the opening day of the specsavers county championship match against durham at New Road on tuesday (may 14).
forums were staged on the opening day of championship matches at the county’s headquarters last summer and it is intended to repeat the formula during the 2019 campaign.
the forums will again take place before the start of play in the graeme hick pavilion from 9.30am onwards.
members will have the opportunity to ask questions of mr rawnsley – and they were full of praise for the openness and honesty of his replies throughout 2018.
they were also kept abreast of news in a winter forum held by mr rawnsley also attended by club chairman fanos hira, club captain joe leach and head of sports science and medicine, ben davies.
mr rawnsley said: “i brought in the forums last summer with the intention of giving members the opportunity to ask anything they wanted on any subject.
“we had a wide and varied response and i tried to be as open as possible with my answers.
“i will not always agree with what members say but i think it is important to be transparent and we will repeat the forums in 2019 starting on tuesday.”
